Single-vision lenses

Single-vision lenses are a good solution for people who cannot see clearly close-up or far away. By grinding the lens to a specific prescription strength, we correct the problem so that the wearer can see clearly again.  However, single-vision lenses in combination with a specific treatment can provide relief from problems like night-blindness or cataracts, even for people who do not normally need prescription glasses.

'Orgalit®’ is the name of our single-vision product line of plastic lenses.
'Optolux®' is the name of our single-vision line of mineral lenses.

You can select from a number of different indexes, materials and coatings with these lenses. Various treatments and features can also be added to these lenses: color, photochromic, polarized, eye care or driving.

Orgalit® Digital Premium 4.1

Orgalit® Digital Premium lenses are a combination of two types of single-vision lenses: the Orgalit® Digital 4.1 and the Orgalit® Premium 4.1. Explore their advantages below.

These lenses belong to the ‘gold’ category and premium comfort.

Orgalit® Premium 4.1

These lenses are known for their precise image quality all the way to the edge or periphery of the lens. This feature definitely adds value to these lenses for the dynamic glasses wearer.

These lenses are made using freeform cutting technology, which guarantees natural sight (through optimization based on the position of the lenses on the face) and an identical field of vision for both eyes (regardless of different strengths and thanks to digital optimization).
We are also able to create a highly tailored lens by considering the individual parameters, such as pupil distance, vertex and curvature of the frames.

Therefore, these lenses belong to the ‘gold’ category and they provide premium comfort

Orgalit® Optimize 4.1

The optimised unifocal lens with just a little extra.

These lenses are manufactured with the Freeform grinding technique, which guarantees an identical field of vision for both eyes (regardless of different power levels and thanks to digital optimisation).

By including the individual pupil distance in the calculation of the lens area, we achieve improved viewing quality.

These lenses belong to the “silver” category and therefore provide Superior comfort.

Orgalit® Digital 4.1

Orgalit® Digital lenses provide additional support for near vision. For instance, for people who spend a lot of time on their mobile phone or tablet, those who read a lot, and students, etc. The extra support translates into a slight increase in the prescription strength by 0.5 dpt in the bottom part of the lens. This will ensure that your eyes will get tired less quickly. This lens is definitely recommended for someone who doesn’t normally wear glasses.

These lenses are produced using the freeform grinding and polishing technology to ensure an identical field of vision for both eyes (regardless of different prescription strengths and thanks to digital optimization).

These lenses belong to the ‘silver’ category and provide super comfort

Orgalit® AS

They provide optimum vision up to the periphery or edge, just like the Orgalit® Premium lenses. However, they do not consider any individual optimization parameters. We do consider those parameters with the Orgalit® Premium lens, which provides a more comfortable lens.

These lenses belong to the ‘silver’ category and provide super comfort.

Orgalit® - Optolux®

Orgalit® lenses form the basis in the world of single-vision plastic – brand name products. Optolux® lenses are the only single-vision lenses that are still available in mineral or glass.

These lenses belong to the ‘bronze’ category and provide standard comfort

Kolor Blind

Solution for colour blind people through spectacle lenses

They do exist, glasses that let people with colour blindness see more colour.

With our Kolorblind lenses, we offer a solution for Deuteranomaly (lack of green cones) and Protanomaly (lack of red cones). However, a solution for Tritanomaly is not yet on the market.

The Kolorblind lenses allow people with colour blindness mentioned above to perceive 900,000 colour shades. Up to 3x as much as sufferers of this disorder are used to.

The lenses have a specific colour shade according to the type of daltonism: pink or violet. On top of that comes a blue mirror coating to make the lenses look like regular sunglasses. These lenses therefore absorb 100% of UVA and UVB rays for maximum sun protection.

Kolorblind lenses are available as both unifocal and progressive lenses. Best to wear them indoors for a maximum of 3 hours a day or outdoors on a grey day. In sunshine, you can wear them outdoors indefinitely.

Consult our shopfinder to find an optician in your area who has Kolor-Blind. They will be happy to guide you to choose the right Kolorblind lenses according to your type of Daltonism.

Vision Specials

Whether for unifocal, progressive or bifocal lenses, the 'Vision Specials range' can accommodate your extremely high strengths. To achieve the nicest results, a lenticular lens is often incorporated into the glass. A lenticular lens is generally recognisable by a 'dimple' in the glass. With our Specials range, this striking cavity in the glass is now a thing of the past. There will still be a height difference, however, it will be nicely adjusted to your chosen frame. We call it an "invisible" lenticular lens, as if it "fades away" into your frame. We are happy to tell you that we provide not only the best visual comfort, but also the most aesthetic solution.
